Burnaby graduates have been accepted into:
2010: Jingwei Pan is top of her graduating class at Byrne Creek Secondary and headed to the Ivy League Dartmouth College in New Hampshire on a full-ride scholarship worth up to $200,000 by the time she completes her degree.
2010: Nazampal Jaswai became one of the distinct few youth leaders of Canada to receive a Western Loran Award Scholarship worth approximately $75,000. Nazampal is a student at Byrne Creek Secondary.
2010: Duke of Edinburgh Awards to Burnaby North students Jessie Cheng (Bronze), Rachel Lowe and Eileen Jue (Silver)
2010: Burnaby North student Jennifer Hao wins a Canada-wide essay contest. She wins a $3,000 scholarship for herself and, for Burnaby North Secondary, Canada’s first plug-in hybrid school bus.
2010: a Grade 10 Burnaby student made her solo debut with the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra at the Michael J Fox Theatre at Burnaby South. She is one of the principal cellists with the VYSO.
2011: Burnaby international student Valentina Beux from Italy wins FIRST PRIZE in the Canadian High School Latin translation competition.
