School Clubs
All Burnaby schools, both elementary and secondary, offer extra-curricular activities.
At the elementary level children can participate on various sports teams and in music.
At the secondary level there is a wide range of school teams in a number of sports and other activities. All schools offer many different clubs that are held before school, at lunch time or after school. These clubs are usually free and are sponsored by a school staff person.
International students are strongly encouraged to participate in these extra-curricular activities as it is a great way to make friends with local students and to practice English. Also it’s a lot of fun!
