A German family with 3 children in the Burnaby School District have moved to Burnaby recently and are exploring the area. We love to see our international students and their families embracing the unique opportunities and activities around Metro-Vancouver.

“Hello and best greetings from Vancouver and Burnaby.
It worked and we arrived in Vancouver on January 15th.
We find our way around more and more and experience our adventure in all facets, the beginning was rather rough, now everything is going much more pleasantly. We really appreciate this time, it is very exciting and instructive.
The weather here is rather mild so far, sunny with a few rainy days in between. The last weekends we discovered two great beaches, “Wreck Beach” and “Jericho Beach”, very close to the University of British Columbia. In the afternoon we went skiing on Vancouver’s local mountain “Grouse Mountain”. The view of the Pacific from the mountain was unique. The first two weeks of school are now behind the children, it was very exciting, but all three are getting along well so far, many things are completely different here. We are still very curious and explore and shape our “everyday-life” here in Canada step by step.
The children and we send our best greetings to the International Team at Burnaby District.”

“We are discovering more and more of Vancouver, Burnaby and the surrounding area, and found a good swimming pool for us (Edmonds Community Center) where we sometimes go before school. Helena is taking a course in photography here at Shadbolt Center for the Arts.”
