Diversity Dance at Byrne Creek

Join us for a night of inclusion and diversity during the Diversity Dance on March 6th. The event will be hosted by the district’s sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) committee and will be held at the Byrne Creek Community School atrium.

The popularity of the event has resulted in event organizers the opening up the dance to the neighbouring New Westminister School District this year. High School Students grades 8 – 12 currently attending Burnaby School District or the New Westminster School District are invited to attend.

This year’s superhero theme encourages students to dress up in their best-caped crusader attire, with a flair to the night’s theme of diversity and inclusion.

Vibe Productions will be running this year’s event entertainment, which will include a live performance from well-known drag performer Ray Sunshine. Expect great music and great perks including Starbucks drinks, Sephora makeup station, and door crasher gift provided by Lush.

The Diversity Dance runs from 6 PM to 9 PM at Bryne Creek Community School (7777 18th St., Burnaby). All Burnaby and New Westminster students in grades 8 to 12 are welcome. Tickets, $10, are on sale at all high school offices until March 5.
